Greetings Beloved Grandmothers, Collaborators, Faculty, and Grads
|
We have now been on the Journey to rebirth ourselves as LIFE as Medicine: Circle of Indigenous Healing Arts for over one year. We have made many Offerings to our Communities locally and nationally, including graduating a cohort of students enrolled in our previous program, launching Professional Development and LandBased Learning, and presenting at National and International Conferences. We have also been developing infrastructure for how our emerging programming will take shape and be credentialed and currently have revealed at least three options for launching Indigenous Healing Arts:
|
- An online Certificate and Diploma held in Nova Scotia;
- An online Masters (with potential for Ph.D.) held with Whitten University (in the Caribbean);
- Reaching out to National Indigenous Accreditation Board (NIAB) to be accredited through them.
We would love for you to join us to discuss these options and review curriculum, and let us know your willingness to continue to work with us as we move forward with one or all of these possibilities. We intend to continue to offer professional development and land-based healing opportunities for the upcoming year, to continue to build community and fundraise for expenses related to accreditation and hope to begin to recruit students for offerings starting in Fall of 2024. A 3-year plan recently crafted for our business planning is attached for your information.
|
Your input is appreciated and your ongoing support is vital to our ongoing sustainability.

Sending love and appreciation, fyrejean
