Are you an Indigenous Art Therapist or Settler Ally providing service for Indigenous Peoples and/or Communities, and looking for a space, time and place to land and connect?

Are you ready to honour CATA’s commitment to ensure that all Art Therapy providers in Indigenous Communities are better prepared to meet the specific needs of our communities?

Are you looking for qualified and experienced Art Therapy supervision to meet your RCAT requirements?

Fyre Jean has decades of experience providing trauma integrative spaces for and with Indigenous peoples and allies and mentorship for service providers in agencies and learners and teachers in post-secondary systems, as well as navigating her own successful private practice, Circle Works Counselling and Consulting Services for 25 years. Jean Tait, well known as a Canadian Indigenous Artist for her work with Ancient Symbols, has been in private practice as Art Can Heal since 2008 and has experience working with Indigenous groups and individuals.

Fyre Jean has created a holistic practice model LIFE as Medicine where Lived Experience is interwoven with Indigenous Spirituality, Feminist Activism, and a dedication to Ecological Sustainability. Jean has been working and playing with LIFE as Medicine practice alongside Fyre Jean for the past three years. Both welcome the co-creation of “heARTivist” healing practices, where together, we recognize growth opportunities arising within “personal” challenges experienced, from a trauma-integrating and resiliency-based focus. Simultaneously acknowledging the interweave of intergenerational, collective and ecological trauma fields, we encourage support and advocacy for individuals and families while enacting community, system and social change.

If you are interested in collaborating with Indigenous Peoples for personal and social change, through the healing arts, you have come to the right place, at the right space and time…
