Art and Story

For Sixties Scoop Survivors, Descendants and Families

We each have a story to tell of the path our life has taken, both the challenges and our journey of healing. In this gathering, we make available art materials to illustrate a part of the journey, together with writing from a “streaming” method, where we don’t concern ourselves with punctuation or whether it even makes sense to anyone but ourselves. Or, in a poetic weaving that is written alongside art that brings colour and depth to our words. No art experience is required, as this is an exploration to make a connection to our personal story narrative, our creation of our story of hope and resiliency.

All art materials, a light lunch and snacks will be provided.

Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 11 am to 5 pm.
